Sigrid Sandstrom
& collect
"Seeing allows us to navigate the world. Through perception we become oriented in space and time. Seeing is also cognitive. While painting, the relationship between hand, mind and eye is interdependent and coextensive. Painting can be and do many things."
Swedish artist Sigrid Sandstrom studied at Yale University School of Art, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Academie Minerva and The Cooper Union School of Art. In Her work is in the collections of Borås Konstmuseum, Borås; Moderna Museet, Stockholm; Statens konstråd; Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Houston; Ulrich Museum of Art, Wichita; and Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven.
