Giorgio Morandi's ceramic vessels have been the inspiration for this project. Morandi´s objects are depicted in groups, yet they are solitary, quiet small monuments. Morandi depicts his objects trapped in their own form, they are intrinsically existentialist.

Following a design method by Alessandro Mendini, I approached this project by interpreting the aesthetic view of another artist.

In my interpretation, these solitary vessels became playful, inviting to be touched, moved, arranged and stacked.

The 3D printing process enabled the creation of a surface which scatters light so that these objects respond in interesting ways to their surrounding: they appear matte in diffuse light, but shiny in direct light.
